Anybody remember Star Wrek?
#1
I was searching for an updated email address for the author, Sami Kyöstilä. Turns out he's the lead coder in the demogroup (Unreal Voodoo) that won the realtime demo competition at Assembly '04. 8)

Neat demo too, worth the download.

i remember playing star wreck, back when i only had a p120. It was one of the best qb games i've played for a very long time and one of the reasons i decided to start progging. Big Grin

If i try to play it now, i can get from one end of the screen to another in less than a second. Wink

Mmm, I remember Star Wrek-- it was one of the first QB games I downloaded (It now resides somewhere on the hard drive of one of these machines.. hmmm)

I got a "player.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" thingie, so I'll have to try this out later, though. Any screenies?

There's a video here too.

(I like the part where the girl is typing assembly in the QB IDE Tongue)

Cool demo Wink Star Wrek holds an elite title amongst qb games, the "Little Brother" test. It, Wetspot 1, Nibbles and Dynamite Men have been the only qb games my little brother (an avid videogame fan but a total nonprogrammer) has ever played voluntarily. Note the multiplayer factor, game makers Wink.

Heh, actually my brothers ended up playing darkages alot. They didn't really care for star wreck.

The only other trek game i liked is "Trek." That's a fun strategy game in my mind. Smile
