Image/file hosting for members
#1
I've finally got around to fixing(err.. totally rewritting) the old file/image uploader. I've done testing and so I am opening it up for further testing/usage.

http://forum.qbasicnews.com/users/upload.php - beta

It should be pretty straightforward. It detects images and so will show them and they can be used as inline images e.g.

Code:
[url]http://forum.qbasicnews.com/users/file.php?id=7[/url]

Any other filetype will automatically be downloaded.

Bug reports, questions, comments, suggestions/etc all welcome. Post below, PM me or email (wildcard[at]hybd.net)

Its currently set to 1meg file limit but if required can be increased. No file number or total space usage limits. Remember its really for members here and not like quickhost which you can use anywhere freely, but saying that; you can use it on other sites but thats not the main intention.

Ya, it's a good idea, I'll try to rip it apart later =)

Hmm... 1mb.. I don't know... you could make it something like 10mb max, and only allow users that are in a group to use it, to prevent idiots from registering and then uploading 9mb porn videos or alike.

Just an idea.

Yes the option just needs to be put back in the form.

UPDATE: I've added in deletion now and you can force downloads of images by adding in &download e.g.

Code:
[url]http://forum.qbasicnews.com/users/file.php?id=16&download[/url]
