At Long Last: QB Express Issue #4!
#41
You still need something for the Gallery? I can send you extensive info about The Quest For Opa Opa. But it's FB... so I guess you are not interested. Anyhow, take a glance: http://obus.qbxl.net

Our next project is writing a fully script driven engine for text adventures and interactive fiction, which will be ported to QB, FB and VB. I can write a small article about this as well if you like.

An adventure set in 'Wankerville'? Hmm, the mind boggles.. Big Grin

Pete: I've got my interviewee lined up, just hope I can get it all turned around in time for the next issue.

Wankerville, yeah. That was tragic. In the ancient times when the city was founded, it was called Whakarwille, but someone went funny and decided to rename it

right, aetherFox? Big Grin

Also, I forgot to post the QB Express monthly poll until today, so EVERYONE GO VOTE!

The poll is only going to be up for about five days, so I need as many people as possible to answer the question....the more the merrier.

It's on the main page in the left column:

Last call for submissions!!

The new issue comes out tomorrow, and it's looking a little thinner than usual, content-wise.

Here's what has been submitted:
  • -Coding, the way it was MEANT to be - Oz
-BASIC GOES MOBILE - Matthew R. Knight
    -QBTK Compo Article - Pyrodap
-QBCPC Article - Adigun A. polack
-Roguelikes 2 - Jocke The Beast
    -Interview - Piptol
    -PHP Tutorial - 19day
    -Useful Math - Marinedalek
-GUI Series Part 2 - VonGodric
    -Joe's Pointless Points 2 - Joe King
-Error Handling - Jan van de Poll

And here are articles that never came in:
  • -File Access Tutorial Part 2 - MystikShadows
    -Game review - Oz
    -QBNow! Vol. 2 Part 1 - Neo
-Article on upcoming project - Neo
-Bobby The QBasic Maniac comic - Matt2Jones
-"Screen 13 Manipulation" Tutorial - Nemesis
-Scripting Series Part 2 - Chaoticmass
    -Character Design Tutorial - Levi
    -FreeBasic Effects Tutorial - Relsoft

A bit disappointing, but don't worry, there's still time!

The new issue will be out tomorrow, unless something happens. I'm very tempted to push this back another day if people email me and tell me that they'll have stuff ready. I don't want to release a sub-par issue.

Anyway, If you've got ANYTHING you'd like to submit, send it in! I'll still take things up until the moment I upload the magazine.

There's still time!
