I'm trying to find a cd recorder bundle that will work under old windows 3.1. Anyone know of any?

Maybe some of those ancient SCSI recorders from 1994 which wrote at 150 Kbps and costed above $1,000... Look at ebay.

device drivers? Glad to see other people not just believing in miracles but relying on them too. Smile You might try looking at driverguide.com for a driver and then find the hardware to match it. (If you succeed, 1) let me know and 2) go to Las Vegas.)

Windows should be defenestrated.

hehe...well, I found two today that advertise support for DOS and win31.

One is the 'CyberDrive CD038D' ( http://www.somitronics.ro/pagini/tehnic/...ve038d.htm ), and the other is a Mega Monster CD-R (forgot the model) which I saw at CompUSA today. I'm going to hold out for two weeks before I gamble on one of those. That's when the next computer fair blows into town. Lots of old stuff there. (You mentioned Vegas. Last night found out I might be flying to Vegas this summer on a gig. Smile)

More an issue of finding support software than a drive itself. Go for a DOS-based thing, rather than actual win16 app.

Thanks for the URL.

for them than others. (My dad, who doesn't like windows either, goes out and buys a 200 GB external USB hard drive kit and *then* worries about how to talk to it from DOS.)
