Graphic artist wanted
#1
I posted this in "projects" with no luck at all, so I am re-posting here...

If anyone is interested i am looking for someone to help me make graphics for an rpg I'm making, the code is pretty well complete just need to put it all together and create a battle engine, I need to create all the text files maps, map triggers, and graphics...I have wolrd graphics that will do for me for now, what I am in desperate need is someone to make character and enemy graphics, I can never get them to look right.

let me know if you might be interested, and I can answer whatever questions you might have. I have spent a lot of time making this game, it would be a shame if it was never finished due to lack of graphics.

ps. If you for some reason feel inclined to see a demo, there isnt one yet, cause most of my routines are seperated at the moment, I should have a demo ready before too long though.

*sigh*.... I remember this stage when I was trying to make an RPG.... and sadly, I don't think anyone will help you... I mean, you could ask Rockuman reaaaaal nicely and he might help, but otherwise you're on your own. It sux for us non-graphical people, I know, but I did this same thing when I hit that point like a year ago, and nobody's that interested...

bah =/ With all the games and demos out there, somone must be making those graphics...and yeah I looked for a good 8 months when I finally gave up on it, now I'm back at it, but I just cant make characters worth a crap ='(

I am currently searching forums, IRC channels, and asking people that know people...I sent a pm to Rockuman hopefully he is interested.

What did yuou do with your rpg, make the graphics yourself, or never finish it?

It took me nine years to find a graphics artist for WOS who would stick around until the very end of the project and see it through for the whole time. Nine years.
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

I made the graphics myself, and then ran into memory issues because my code is extremely inefficient

But whenever I showed people the game, they never commented on how 'good' the graphics were, because there weren't very many, and they weren't very good. But Rockuman has proven to be quite an awesome sprite-maker, so he would be my first choice, no doubt.
