If LSD was involved, it would end up as a BrainF*ck compiler ;). 2000 lts of intravenous infusion of diet coke were enough..

Hellbound: Check out http://www.freebasic.net/wiki/ for some documentation on FB, Its not finshed yet, but it gets better every day.
You can also run most QB examples(tho not all). You can find fb examples in the example\ folder where you installed fb, and you can find qbs help file here: http://www.qbasicnews.com/qboho/

Here's a program that might help you some. I haven't tried it in win31, but it works in 95 and up. http://www.freewebs.com/fielden/

It's kind of an interactive thing. You select an area on a Grid and then click on a Control name and click on Build and it writes you a SDK/API example to the clipboard.

It also has a Preview that works when the program is put in the FreeBasic directory. If you are using it as a form, you can get a sneek peek after each control is added. Don't change fonts, unless you are using FreeBasic 12b.

As mentioned, several people has wrote a few tutors about GUI programming. Rick Clark has an excellent Pointer tutor you don't want to miss. It's on the Wiki and posted at Basically Programming.

I think Adosorken has a couple tutors in QB Express.

my current code (dynamically updated) is available via the main page, http://m0n573r.afraid.org/ (the file called wx_create_test.bas). it doesn't output code yet as i've been busy, maybe i'll have time to work on it this weekend though.

1. What is API-Guide?

Many people have asked us if they could download our API-List because they couldn't go online for a very long time and it could take ages to download all the API-examples. Of course, this was very unpractical, since the list is changing every month.
For these people we've created API-Guide! API-Guide is an API-database with all the API-functions of our API-list.

API-Guide has over 900 functions, all documented, and explained with an example.
