I decided to make a little text game just to familiarize myself with things. It's going to be one of those family type adventures where you play Jocke the Beast on a killer rampage.

Anyways, I had a quick question about text mode stuff: Is it possible to get rid of the blinking cursor?
(Ok, another quick question: Can you turn off the mouse, too?)

I think the blinking cursor can be turned on/off in v0.9 of the compiler (not yet released).

Many years ago I used debug and made a COM that changed the look of the command prompt...fonts, style of the cursor, and whether it blinks.
If that ASM is still applicable in 32-bit commandline then use some embedded ASM.

Thanks for the tips. I'll see what the next version has in store and then look into the ASM.

Killer rampage? Ahh...you meant a ordinary 'walk-in-the-park'?
Anyways, cool to see a text adventure game in FB soon...Keep at it 8)

Well, progress is buzzing along just fine. Here are a couple screenshots from the game, and you can go to my page for a full walk around demo.
