Quote:mspaint has existed in Windows ever since Windows 3, and possibly before that as well (I don't care for Windows versions before 3 so I don't know for sure!). And it's not changed a whole lot since its Windows 3 days either. Big Grin

First featured on Windows 1.0 Tongue you can take a glance at the 2.1 version here: http://ynmersya.freefronthost.com/files/

Btw, they replaced it with Paint Brush in Windows 3.x. Why? Dunno. IMHO, PBrush was better.

MS Paint isn't really free, you do have to buy one of the Windows operating systems to get a copy. But Paint.net is a free alternative to MS Paint that is currently in development.

Well, the app didn't run per se, but it was patched to avoid some version checking. Hence it's buggy. On Windows 2.03, the program has a graphical tool set.

You can check it for yourself:

BTW; nobody remembers Win 3.x's Paint Brush? I still prefer it over MS Paint. Y'know, this one is third party Tongue

You MS Paint users, grab PBrush. I've uploaded it here:

LOL I remember paint brush! I had it on my Windows 3.1 compy all those years ago! I remember the day my dad brought home a color printer... I was sick and had to stay home from school, but he brought that home, and i drew a picture and printed it out (while throwing up like three times). it was for sure a joyous event.

I had an older computer once, but I don't remember it... way back when I was like 2 years old the cat peed all over it and fried it to heck. But that ol' windows 3.1 computer is still sitting over in the corner of my room. It doesn't work anymore because the CMOS battery died, and I can't find a replacement one, and it won't boot without it...
