Has anyone here played any of the SH series? I'm a big fan. Doom 3's cool as well. As far as shock horror is concerned, Doom 3 is better than Resident Evil but Silent Hill still rules. Also, was Resident Evil Outbreak meant to be scary?

No, I haven't played SH, Doom 3 was frikin' creepy, and yes, Resident Evil is *supposed* to be scary.
I'm not a big fan of the whole horror / shocker genre of games, but Doom 3 was awesome due to the lighting effects and the graphics (storyline kinda sucked).
ovaProgramming.

Silent Hill 1 for the PSX was amazing. If any of you have emule and a PC, plug in ePSXe and download the ISO. Now!

Silent Hill 1 was very occult and supernatural, Silent Hill 2 played more on psychology, Silent Hill 3 was a continuation of SH1. Haven't tried SH4 yet, I'll get it when I complete SH3. Doom 3 is probably the most effective shock horror game released to date.
