Is there a simple gui/dialog library available for FB? What I need is an easy way to set parameters before switching into fullscreen mode.

Nope, there is not and won't be for awhile. GUI stuff is way more complicated than people seem to think it is.
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
