Weird issue when trying to post in a certain topic
#11
This is really strange lol. I'll wait until we see if anyone else can post your message successfully, but I'm stumped as to why (at the moment) it's only giving you problems. I honestly don't see any problems with where it stops letting you add words on that last paragraph... nothing really weird about the combination of words unless I'm missing something.

I don't know... hrmm... try rewording it a bit? Did you try disabling BB code when posting once?

Very strange. :???:

Oh, sorry. There's been a misunderstanding.

That tutorial I pointed you to tells you how to setup MySQL, which is different from Microsoft-SQL.

If you want to work with Microsoft Access databases, you'll probably have you use Microsoft SQL.

MySQL Standard is free (this is what you just downloaded), MySQL Pro is $595.
Microsoft SQL (also known as MS-SQL) is $4999, or $1489 for the limited-to-5-users version.

The reason I assumed you wanted MySQL instead is because you actually mentioned "MySQL". Plus you used the words "download free", which don't belong in the same sentence with most Microsoft products. But I should have known something was wrong when you said "Is there a MySQL file download free from MS or something?", because MySQL doesn't come from Microsoft.

Hm, weird... after I posted the long one, I had to close my browser to be able to post again.

Or it would just "Connecting..." or "Waiting for reply from [...]..."

FireFox, weird...

I'm starting to think my network setup on Linux is misconfigured, because there have been other symptoms - when I login to hotmail, it accepts my username/pass but then the page just doesn't load... Maybe it thinks I have a proxy even though I don't.

Gentoo Linux, Firefox 1.0

I'll try it in Windows the next chance I get.
