(we need a FAQ on the FAQ)
The FAQ is a pseudo-wiki. In a wiki, keywords with a "?" are not entered yet, so people can add text just clicking on them.
We have restricted access with a password so only trusted people who requires it can edit the FAQ.

I dont trust the vertical refresh. It leads a trail of lies and deceit not to mention it tends to fail me now and then because of monitor settings. Plus, it only pauses for the rest of the refresh rate, it can't be used for things as complex as a hi-res timer.
But yeah, vertical refresh rate works fine for some stuff.

The bad thing with VSync is Windows. Windows screws the VSync sequence with its continuous interrupts, so VSync will not always give that flicker-less, constant-speed animation it gave in pure DOS.
For example, it is impossible doing pure page-flipping in QB using VSync, 'cause it desyncs and flicker in Windows. I'll post my code. You'll se it flickering in Windows, but if you boot in DOS (pure DOS, not DOS boxes) flickers will just go away.
