Bill Gates' is a genius and his mother happened to have a lot of money to set him rolling. BTW bill gates had borrowed a lot of money from VCs too...

the first site is a mac site to begin with
and it just sounds like someone heard a bunch of stuff or read some blog and wrote an article about it. the second site also sounds alot like hearsay. especailly the headline "what i heard and remembered". and the third one contradicts the second one, the second on says that digital research stretches the facts because they don't want to make themselves look dumb, if this was true, then your third example isn't credited. the problem with the internet is that it's all hearsay,t he same with a certain number of books. if you actually had some quotes from bill gates saying these things himself, then i might believe ya. but as of now, i'm convinced that you heard this (read it, whatever) and believe it to be true. however, i'm not convinced.

All I know is that, whether we like it or not, this guy hasn't become rich magically. If his company developes the software that is used in almost every home. How he got to it doesn't matter right now.
But yeah, he and his company suck.

I stand to be corrected. You mayb not like gates, you may even hate him. But you can not argue with the fact that he has the largest and most powerful cooperation in the world. And that's not the work of an idiot.

Without doubt Bill Gates is a very clever guy, but do you not think the reason why he and MS are so wealthy is because they have worked themselves into a Monopoly. In sort we have to use Windows !!!
I believe even Linux will not run all the software Windows will run- am I right?

My point is that it takes a great mind to create that monopoly. Sure, bill gates was in the right place at the right time. But so were so many others including those apple guys. In many ways the apple computers are much better then PCs. And their operating systems used to be much better too. But they did not win the majority of the market. They did not have the buissness mind that Gates did.
