uh but say when the guy moves onto the grass wouldnt there be a white square or a black square

sigh, you get the original background BEFORE you put the mask there,when you move the mask you PUT the background back where it was, and get the background of where you are putting the sprite and then put the sprite, i think you put it as

Code:
PUT (x,y), sprite, OR
PUT (x,y), spritesh, AND

(I could have got the OR and the AND the wrong way round, or the sprite and the spritesh the wrong way round)

sigh..i mean use this as the normal sprite with a black background
[Image: sprite.bmp]
(a lame sprite i admit, i did it in 2 seconds)
And use this for the mask
[Image: spritesh.bmp]
(sorry fot the size, i could rezize it if you like)

the black should work like DATA 0
The white should work as DATA 15

try it, see if it works

your welcome, i thought it might, though the bmp loader i was usings site was removed, and well, i deleted the bmploader by accident :oops: so i could not test it so i was just guessing.
