You are going to have to be a little more specific.
You have WIN/XP?
Do you get an error message when trying to load your programs?
If so, what error message?
Was the program you are trying to load originally created with VBDOS?
My all-around thoughts are, however, it's probably WIN/XP being stupid/a corrupt copy of VBDOS.

1) Yes.
2) Nope, no error. It just freezes up. (it loads some programs, but not large ones....)
3) n/a
4) No, it was made in qb4.5

Most likely possibilty:
XP Doesn't like MS-DOS programs, and decides that it'll make a memory problem, hence disabling VBDOS from running.

Get WIN/2000, much better.
I think that it still fully supports and is friends with MS-DOS

I know exactly what you're feeling...I've XP, too, but i splitted my harddisk, so I can run XP and 98 parallel. I think it's the best way...we had many threads about this topic....

is trying to get your computer to do. Win2K has as much ability to interfere with DOS programs as any other version of windows. (But I don't have quite as many problems with it as "everybody" acts like they have with XP.)

Windows should be defenestrated.

I think 98 and backwards are the most QB compatible windows versions

ak00ma: Agreed. I have WIN/95 and it nearly still *requires* MS-DOS.
