go to www.sourceforge.net.. and do a search for delphamp, its an open source ogg/mp3/wav player, written in delphi... Big Grin
winamp also plays ogg, but has terrible resource handling imho (@ least compared to delphamp)

Winamp plays OGG.

In fact, winamp plays everything Big Grin I don't need other players.

I love OGG. It loops correctly, it compresses better, it's free and it has better quality. Shame on those hardware MP3 players! They don't play OGG!

OGG are the best pick for games. Perfect loops! Smile

iirc, there are a few ogg-playing music players, but not enough to be called 'widespread' - we must force the manufacturers to make good players! Smile

Winamp is awesome, but the more recent versions are getting a bit large and slow to load. Plus, it's supposedly got a bad module player, but I've never noticed anything.

Ok, here's a slew of questions...

You say ogg files are the best for games, right? What program are you using to create the ogg files with? I already have a bunch of wav and mp3 files. How can I convert them to ogg and what library do I need to use in FB? Can I use OpenAL? I haven't tried it yet because I'm still trying to figure a clever way to fix my obj loader. Wink

FMOD is the sound lib to use Wink

To convert you can use a zillion of free converters. I use dBPowerAmp as it has plugins for almost every fourmat.

As for the bloaty winamp ploblem, you can still download v. 2.91 here: http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winamp

Yeah, but supposedly old Winamps have a buffer overflow vulnerability or something that causes them to do bad things when fed a specially designed file.
