andalso and orealse have been used in ML for more than 20 years. MS can't patent these. AFAIK MS only wants to patent "is not" for Baisc-like languages.

There is nothing wrong with the US patent system. Right now it just has a few bad administrators. Besides, instead of IsNot, you could always use Isnt. Big Grin

I was going to bash you for your horrible English, but people seem to dislike that intensely, so I'll just say that points made in clear and grammatically correct language are much more powerful than thsoe writen innocrrrelty.

The US patent administrators aren't stupid. They're overworked and really don't care, as they figure the courts can straighten any issues out if they come up.

As far as IFZ and IFN and such, I seem to recall those as being pneumonics in assembly, things like JNZ (Jump if not Zero) and JZ (Jump if Zero). And FB lets one use ASM.
