Quote::o That just did over my PixelShifting,.. but course you added not shifted
pixels...
I don't think there's really terms for that (like 'pixelshifting'), it's just... image editing in general. From what I've seen of your work it's basically editing the colors of images, pasting others on top and aligning them, etc... (like the decals on your edited cars) That's basically what I do as well, with the help of some photoshop filters here and there... I don't really think the definition of that method is 'shifting'.

Quote:but course you added not shifted pixels...
Well... Yeah... You wouldn't expect me to do all that pixel by pixel, would you? Just remember with your jeep pic there's technically 'not shifted' (though I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, I'm assuming you mean pasting other images in) pixels as well. I don't mean to get worked up over this, but people inventing terms for something that already exists is a kinda... pet peeve of mine Tongue To me, at least, 'pixel shifting' sounds like you'd literally just shift the pixels around without adding any new colors or anything, like one of those sliding puzzles... (yes I know that's technically impossible, but that's what it brings to mind  )

@Mech: I'm seriously flattered, but one thing:
Quote:thanks again for adding the josiah touch to one of my drawings, without that, they are nothing in my eyes
Do you think I could get the inspiration to do that from a peice of art that is 'nothing'? Nope.

Before I had RipTide I did have to slide most all the pixel back and fort to get it on the car, or object.. not impossble,. It where I first got the term, shifting,. and I lucked out on my Jeep yes,..

But when you over lay new Pixel arays after been rotated, sheared, and resized over a dark image there white specks around the image.. When I set it on the body, I have to shift some of the pixals from the body over these white marks....

Also, if there is a bump in the body work, I have to shift the decal to make up for this... so not all the time(I luck out), but I do really shift 'em by hand (aka, slide 'em as you said).. Smile Don't judge b4 you know what all goes behind the pics... & sorry for the pet peevish term, but it was the best way I can discribe it..

I mean 'technically impossible' in that even a black pixel is a pixel... you can't have a space on a monitor where there are no pixels, unless it's off. Tongue

I usually go in and clean the image up by hand zoomed in really close before pasting it over, tends to make it much easier.

Erk... Don't judge someone before you know what they do, either. I'm a pixel artist, that is, actually making images by laying down each pixel, have been for about 4 years now. Trust me, I know the meaning of tedious... And I more than know what goes into making such an image.
I don't judge people without knowing what they do or how they do it.

Eh, what, I judged no1? that was just something common to put at the end, BTW, I know you have to be some kind of pixel artist, that fox being hit by a bowling ball didn't draw itself...

I do sometimes clean the image b4 putting it on, but I like slowly matching the pic to the body,. also touch up on light glares, you need it on the body... nevermind, I'll call it Pixel Art save from more confretations (not getting that to spell right)..

No, you can call it pixel shifting, I just had to get all that out, that's all. Tongue Besides, it'd probably cause more confusion if you called it pixel art, as the "true" definition of pixel art is an image done from scratch, pixel by pixel. (I hope I don't sound biased, overly prideful, or egotistial here. that's not the intention, and, well, I hope I'm not seen that way Wink) I was just saying that what you do is basically digital art/edting.

Nice work of art.
I wouldn't say it's a remade version of Mech's, really, more like a spontaneous collaboration. Tongue Thanks for the comment, I'm glad to see it apparently turned out well...
Also... I made a wallpaper out of it because I thought it'd look good as my desktop; though I've uploaded it if anyone wants to see it/use it/whatever:

Mech: We should do art collaborations more often

It's hard to believe that this picture would replace the stunning beauty I had on my desktop already but it's been done. Big Grin As a descendant of Native American royalty, I really enjoy this kind of artwork and this one is particularly well done. Major kudos to both of you. Big Grin
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
