Hello. I am currently new to fastbasic.

Actually, I used to make tons of programs using quickbasic 4.5 a few years back. Now since I discoverd this programming language, I wonder what type of things can it actually do?

I am yet not familiar with using the command line to get the programs running however, I may consider using this programming language in the future for the main purpose to make games with ASCII like graphics(Like ZZTish) and mabie incorperate internet multiplayer in to it because really, I do indeed miss the good old days of MS-DOS like games.

But I don't know if this is possible because I use windows2000.

freebasic?

it rules.

oh and to get programs running, put them in the same dir as freebasic, say c:\freebasic, then go to start > run, type command hit enter, you should get a command prompt then then type "cd \freebasic" or whatever directory its in, then type fbc "NAMEOFPROG.BAS" like if for instance u got a prog called hello.bas, you would then type fbc hello.bas. then to run it just type hello
