[Updated] True-Colour Mandelbrot Explorer (screenshot)
#1
Well, it's a very bad jpeg copy, but here's a pic from the draft explorer I'm building with the TC-Lib:

This pic updated 23/04/03 (working on the SelectButton, real object oriented and Merise stuff... tough time!). The title is a random selection in London Calling's tracks...

The prog is mouse operated, and allows zooming up to 15E9 or so by selecting any part of the pic with a dragmouse. A lot of presets are provided, showing interesting areas of the M-set with over 20 different colour sets...

This is just testing... The next releases will include a sort of GUI, that will allow selecting between a drawing module, a simple photo processor, a raytracer (up to the 4th degree...), a mandelbrot explorer, and maybe other fractals... In fact, all I have to do is to adapt the Screen 12 progs that are posted on the Dazibao to the TC-Lib: Julia sets, IFS fractals, Lorenz attractor and other stuff of that kind. The TC-Lib allowing generating Hi-Res pics, I can now, after one year of effort, draw what I want...

I seriously think the complete set will be more powerful than Fractint (but of course much slower  )

Be a little patient...

At some point I'm going to take the time to read up on fractals. As it is I have no idea what the equations are like, but that looks pretty cool.
