Lol, how can anyone load PNGs slowly?

Memory stats for a 1400x1050 bitmap.
BMP: 4.20 mb
PNG: 348KB

So he's right, don't use BMPs they load slow, but how can anyone load a PNG slow?

As my sig says, my FB site has updated... its got a new BG,. Is it too bright, or should I knock it back some? Just curious, I can read the page fine, but other things I could read fine, other couldn't... so??

I had to select the text to read it. Could be just me, but I don't particularly like web sites with 'loud' graphical backgrounds... the background should look 'backgroundish'.
