return to marchfeld, first person shooter
#1
greets,

i was bored ( 4am in the morning ), and i unpacked my old backup cd and saw that old fps i once did in qb years ago. it used dqb therefor ems and didn't work on winxp/nt/2000 machines for an unknown reason. well, i wanted to get it run again as all my machines are > 98 now and had a look at the source. after a few minutes i figured what's wrong and here it is. my first and only ever finished crappy polygon based 3d super duper first person shooter: return to marchfeld

http://ratatoskr.dragonhill.cc/fbirc/rtm.rar

keys:

skip cutscene ( pictures at the beginning ): escape
movement : cursor keys
shot: ctrl
open door: space

have fun, no comments on the source as it was put together in 2 weeks so...

edit: uhm game might run to fast on modern machines. better insert a delay somewhere Smile

Good game, but perhaps a translation into english might have been nice.

yeah it was intented to be played by the german qbasic community, though the plot is not all that important.

sidenote, i'm suprised that this doesn't interest nobody hehe. nah in the end it's a lame game.

check readme. you have to right click the exe file then properties then memory ( i guess the tab is called like that ) then set the ems and xms crap to automatic. if ems runs on your machine ( that's an old method under dos to access memory above the 1mb limit ) then rtm should work for you.
