Newbie struggling with the examples and dll s
#1
Hi, I downloaded FreeBASIC yesterday and cannot get the included examples to work Sad I can compile them to their respective .exe s but when run via dos or by double clicking the exe s I get an error about missing dll s

For example:
Compiling C:\FreeBASIC\examples\Allegro\stars.bas creates an executable with in the Allegro folder but starting it via dos or windows throws this error:
Error Starting Program
A required .DLL file, ALLEG40.DLL, was not found.

I use fbc stars.bas to compile the file.

This is on Windows ME. (Yes, I know Big Grin )

I can create and run hello world.exe just non of the examples.

I have searched everywhere for any help but found none. If the answer is somewhere on this forum (or any other) then I'm sorry but I couldn't find it.

Thanks for any help.

Edit:
I hope I've not posted this in the QBasic forum. If I have please move it to a more relevant place. Thank you.

You need the runtime library for allegro. I also need them, and those of FMOD, BASS, SDL, SDL_net, WINMM.... *sigh*

Anyone (marzec? v1c?) have a link to where to download a package of all runtime libraries FB might need? Wink

Thanks in advance.
