Freebasic do not run under WinXP

Hello,
i have a problem. I downloaded this file "freeBASIC-v0.12b-win32.zip",
unzip this, but it dosen`t start under WinXP.(fbc.exe)
Can someone help me to start freebasic.
Excuse the English because I`m from Germany and please
write aswers in easy english words.

man this is becoming somthing simler to can you build a OS is QB type question.


Freebasic is not a IDE it's a command line compiler. to use it
open a consol box i.e. go to run and type cmd
once you have the consol window open go to the folder that fbc.exe exist in and type fbc <Name of source.bas>
and freebasic will compile your source to a exe.



if you don't like messing around at commandline dl FBIDE
http://www.hot.ee/fbide/FBIde33a+FBC012.exe

this is a package for fbide and freebasic compiler it has a installer so should set everything up for you.
