Well here is the "attack" feature added:

As far two-player, the screen drawing is fairly simple, but I don't know if split-screen would be the best. Network multiplay wouldn't work for what the game is intended (father-daughter time), but might be something for others to extend when I put the full source code up.

I still think in the current form, locking the screen until both players exit the current map would be best.

I've updated the program:

Pokeball Scramble

to include the "shock back" (space bar) ability of pikachu. I'll have to add a guage for power level and game logic to keep the player from zapping the enemy too much...

...unless of course you're playing it just because you can zap the crap out of coffing...

It looks as if I am going to have very little time in the near future to dedicate to fleshing out the rest of the program. So instead of risking this mouldering in a dark corner of my drive, I am going to go ahead and release the source for those foolhardy enough to want to actually view it:

Pokeball Scramble Source and Support Files

...and yes it does use gosub/return to seperate out various blocks of code. But it was easier to do this at the time when most eveything was one long do...loop after various additions were made to the original lowly code.

Have fun with it, please feel free to submit suggestions on code change or enhancements...
... and please, if you do use this code as a base and expand it to make it better, remember to share with the rest of the FreeBASIC community.
