I love the slam Plasma used on the forum that was directed towards me...class. Very class. This is why, Plasma, you will never have my respect. From day one here, you did nothing but give me a hard time. Do you expect me to respect you if all you've done is cut me down? I only respect those who treat others equally, and you're certainly not one of them.

To the rest of you: just because a person leaves a forum doesn't mean it's the end of the world. People come and go all the time. It's just the way things work.

To anyone wondering about V Planet: most of the work was finished slowly over the past couple of weeks but I've not had time to update it all. I haven't been online much recently because I've had to take care of Rhiannon and make sure she stays healthy, plus been busy with that thing called a "job" in that world called "real life"... Big Grin I did a mass emailing two weeks ago to all the currently listed members of V Planet and got not a single response so I guess everyone else is gone now. Oh well...guess this will once again be a one-man project...unless anyone else out there wants to help complete the building of the new V Planet?

You're right, Nek. I mean, what's wrong with us? Almost every time someone leaves we make a topic about them. =\ These things are flooding the forum... somebody stop us.

Nel, what happened between you and Plaz is between you and plaz. I stick with my post that both he and Jofers are great losses to this community.

I agree that people leaving are a loss to the community, relsoft. Especially people like Plasma and Jofers who have helped out a lot of people. But this place gains and loses people all the time...that was what I was driving at. It's just how forums work. Besides, it's not like they're disappearing from the internet...they're still gonna be around, just maybe not here for awhile. Quite often, people take stuff like this way too seriously. They react rather than act. People need to calm down and think rationally for a moment. You can still find Plasma at phatcode and Jofers at qb45. Those two sites are still part of the Qmunity, so it's not like we've even lost them...

I see a reduction in the average competency level on qb forums as a sign of the first newb infusion in five years. For years, the forums had a lot of incredibly talented coders by the truckload, five for every newb. Now, especially with the release of fb, there's been an infusion of people who aren't old timers/qb gods. Tongue

Which would be fine, if they werent so damn arrogant, and made a million dupe posts/topics, or topics named: "HELP!!!1"

Or if they would just read the readmes, or even just read on the damn websites!

I'm guilty of not using readmes/websites often.

640k of sample code should be enough for anybody. Tongue
