Z!re, dunno what to say... it works here as for other people. Doubt it's a matter of Win9x, SCREEN and SCREENRES use the same code to setup the screen... Are you sure you didn't mess up using gfxlib from 0.12 and fbc from 0.13 or the opposite?
Mitth'raw'nuruodo: you should have a look at docs/gfxlib.txt. There you'll find the full reference to FB built-in gfx commands, and on the intructions to many functions there is an example that shows how to work with it.
Also, as already reported, check out the sources at examples/gfx, specifically the files starting with "fbgfx".
