VST instruments
#1
Is it possible to create VST instruments in freeBASIC? I'm thinking of capturing MIDI input and using it to drive a synthesiser, but I don't know where to start.

Only if the headers from the Steinberg's SDK are ported, but aren't them only for C++? If so, that becomes too complex, as a wrapper library would be needed..

It takes something that complicated to make you hate C++? Damn, and just the good old "C++ turns C code into error messages" was enough for me... Big Grin
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

What's the big deal with C++? It's just C with OOP and a WONDERFUL Standard Library. I'd rather use std:Confusedtring than char *.

I hope the OOP'd version of FB comes out soon, so that we can port stuff like OGRE to it.
