I mean, I'm pretty sure the purpose of the games is to be farily ridiculously violent and criminal. Pff. Don't take things too seriously, especially things that are so over-the-top you'd think it would be clear they're not MEANT to be taken seriously... :wink:
I wouldn't say any GTA game is the 'best game ever', but they're great when you just want some mindless violent fun.
Back on topic, though, my brother told me about this game called something like 'Big Rigs' that was released relatively recently and was more of a crude engine beta than anything-- it was like a racing game, except there was only one track, your opponents did not MOVE at ALL, and you could drive through everything... Like... A high-end, yet buggy, walkaround demo. :o
I'll try to find that review I was reading of it that described all the odd shit...

Red Faction, while the dynamic level thing is cool, it just isnt dynamic, and ends up being overhyped crap. Same for no2

Zelda, while it's a good concept and I like the story (even if it's the std: Save princess, save world, be hero) but I mean.. could a game be more milked? (except mario)
The latest Zelda is crap IMO, the years they've had developing it doesent justify the graphics

Anarchy Online, it has the worst 3D engine and UI i've ever seen.
The game looks like Half-Life, and plays like Doom 3 on a 386
The user interface is about as userfriendly as a UI app written in ancient hebrew, not to mention a new window for everything, and that a window takes up 1/4th of the screen in 800x600

Mario Cart, it's just crap.

Don't diss Doom 3! I love shoot-em ups! Especially when I have a need to stab stuff....However my computer is running on bare minimum stuff, best thing I can play is Half-Life so I've been stuck on level 8 in mux.......

Since people have given their opinion on games they love as well, I'll start off with those: Super Metroid, Zelda III, Super Mario World, Doom, Quake, Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time, GTA 2, Chrono Trigger, Ridge Racer 4.

GTA:SA, All FF games (apart from 5), Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within for being the shittiest good sequel ever, Red Faction 1/2, every NASCAR and F1 game ever made, Gran Tourismo games, C&C Generals.
