Mouse in SVGA modes - Sensitivity adjustment issue

I managed to design a series of routines to enable mouse usage in SVGA true-colour modes, after finding my way through mickeys and cursor re-programming. But there is one thing I cannot solve: the classical mouse sensitivity function won't work : when, for example, I try to set the sensitivity to 1 on each axis, the behaviour is OK on the x axis, but the mouse does not move any longer on the y axis !

Can anybody help ???

it works perfectly now : just that I did not realise higher values get the mouse more sensitive, not lower value.
