Cool Adigun :king:

About translucent sprites, you may want to have a look here:

You may find good old PUT has some unexpectedly nice new features...

To Angelo Mottola (aka lillo):

Yes, I did see your topic about alpha-blending in sprites for your GFXlib 2, and it to me sounds really rather promising for 15- to 32-bit modes, in all true honesty here. I might want to check it out soon, and boy am I *absolutely* looking forward to it or what? Big Grin !

Right now, as part of the game Frantic Journey, I am currently at work on my custom 8-bit pixel-only translucency routine that is based exclusively off of the FB “Space Impakto” demo, my wonderful man. Besides, it would well have been to the point of nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to do if it were not for that very demo, believe me. Wink (After all, I am just doing what I know to do here.)

In a clear nutshell, lillo, you are absolutely correct indeed about your newly improved PUT routine in your lib.

See you now, and thanks very richly for letting me know!! Big Grin

UPDATE (on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11:33pm EST): Just successfully got done the custom pixel-only translucency routines for the 8-bit arena on the FJ project!! Big Grin FINALLY! Boy, I can sure use it on the arcade-like boot-up screen for this game. And that is only the *beginning* of something truly great, folks!!! Wink=b

heh, at one point i hit 1843 fps, or so it told me. there is definitly way too much stuff on screen, i felt claustrophopic and found myself lost many times. otherswise it looks promising.
