Sorry guys, I didnt realise Quickhost was gonna be down. Its available now, though.

Cha0s: Thanks Smile

Pyrokid: Thanks man

Aetherfox: I always try to take any crit in the most positive way. Its a great way to learn and improve. Apart from when its by Lachie. Then its just harsh. Im surprised you could find the collision detection in my code, its a bit messy in places, although I guess I put in the odd comment Big Grin

Nice game. Smile
I like the music, it captures the spirit of the game: light and bouncy
The way the mass of enemies parts when you shoot is awesome. Smile

Now for some critism:
The playing area is too small, i felt claustrophobic being confined in that little area with my ever so bouncy rocket ship.

Um...Where's the high score table? Why can't I access it in-game?

Waaay too twitchy, it helps when i reduce the sparks, but even at 0 it still twitches.

Perhaps you should have more weapon upgrades/or maybe different weapon types instead of just single/double/triple.

However, all of the above is fine for an arcade game (except the twitching).
Good job Big Grin

Yeah, the playing area is quite small, but it works well to create a fast paced game.

Press up/down on the menu to show/hide it Wink

Yea, the sparks value wont actually help that much because it isnt a big cpu drain. As I said, it unfortunately requires a powerful comupter to run. Did you try turning the BG off? That tends to help.

I considered that but decided I wanted to keep the gameplay as simple as possible. Simple meaning no weapon switching etc.

Hehe, It was a fine line in between making it too hard and too easy. Dont worry though, I cant get past wave 4 on normal mode ^_^ A tip is: always fire and always move! creating a line of fire will make the monsters part and give you an escape route through a crowd.

the twitchy game play i don't think the engine it self it fmod when it loads up a new mod it seem's to drain the cpu resource heavely.

Um, how powerful exactly? :???: I have a 2.8 GHz p4, ati radeon 9800 pro and 1024 mb of ram.....

EDIT: Without the bg it works better. man, this game is way too addicting. Big Grin

You, 24-bit screen mode lover! ;)

Change the line "screen 19, 24, 2, 1" to "screen 19, 16, 2, 1" and it will run in full speed, most video-cards hate 24-bit modes, or emulate them using 32-bit, making a flip() very slow to be done.

EDIT: 24400 pts, bouncing is the key ;)
