I think people really should get of Bill Gates' back. If they don't like him or his products don't use them or offer constructive criticism. I have no problem with Gates just his products could use a bit if polish.
o, let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the King of the Potato People and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you are completely sane?! -A.J. Rimmer

The problem here isn't the "poll" concept itself, Serge, but the question behind it. Does it matter really? I mean, you post talked about you trying to change OS and blah blah about Linux, Mandrake and the such. Then, what's the point behind that poll? Mm?

dude, i doubt serge is the leader behind the linux liberation front, it was an innocent question.

on the other side, though, you post a lot of polls. maybe it'd be best too cool down a little bit.

the one advantage windows will always have over linux is a uniform driver standard (well, and better marketing). this make linux fine for servers, but not as great for home computing.

and, say some guy's setting up a new computer or talking about, say, installing linux or talking about his job or collage class, and it's suddenly pushed down 10 spots by ten different ways of asking "boxers or briefs?". It's not bad that you post polls, but you post so many random polls they lose their effect and it becomes one giant survey. no insult to you, of course, but that's just what i think about the polls.

ibm uses linux, but they're stuck on web servers. you wont see a popular widespread desktop made for linux anytime soon. and unless a meteor destroys every microsoft institution in the next 50 years, i dont see windows moving from the top of the market, especially with the antitrust thing thrown out the window.

Well, sometimes I use my CX486DX2 66 Mhz Win 95 partition to do some text-mode browsing using the free GNU text mode browser Lynx. Lynx was the first internet browser that came out, and it rocks if you have slow computers. If you wanna see how it looked like, just check this screenshot. BTW: This post is being written using Lynx Wink
