I two people hacked into the school's grading programs and admin info in two consecutive years at my school. One changed his grades and only was caught because he gave himself an A+ in a class you can only get an A in and one looked up personal information on somebody. Both were caught, suspended and banned from computer useage for the rest of their high school careers.

Oddly enough, one of them partnered with me and someone else to win a programming competition for our school's team the same year they were banned.

Anyway, the moral is that in this situation "the juice isn't worth the squeeze".

It would seem most schools have their network hackers

I can remember a small group hacking the network @ school I went to. They where caught been the typically unsubbtle school hackers, got off quite litely though compared to what some places do - just got their net taken and their password was changed so only the tech's could log them in.

I made a program in QB, that listed all files on the server computers..

Running a few hundred instances made the server die..

It was fun.. Computer teacher helped running it..


Fried one server CPU.. One of the CPUs on a dual CPU 486... ya, I know..

All our teacher's have 4 letter passwords. I know of one person who got ahold of them passwords, he got a teacher fired, guess how.

I have found out the administrative password for our schools network since sophmore year. they don't change it. but i'm not stupid enough to go messin around where i don't belong.
