.htaccess files.

Quote:I did some research on CHMods, and it appears to be a function associated with FTP browsers. Is there a way to set permissions when the files are right there on your computer?

chmod is a *nix function that changes the access permissions of a file. Not really a connectino with FTP there.

Well, I got htaccess working. I googled around a bit and found there was a switch that needed to be pulled in the httpd.conf file in Apache.

But now, I'm having problems getting my .htpasswd file working, and it's frustrating me to no end, to the point where I don't even feel like typing the problem, meaning I'll have this same problem over and over again.

I hate doing this.

But yeah, thanks for your help. I can get my custom error pages working.
