QBN Hosting Change
#1
You may all notice some down times at all three spots over the next few days as we are moving hosting to another company. We're trying to do it in a fashion so that nothing is ever down, but it may not work as we hope.

If this is the case, I'm sorry for the problems but we're working on it.

Once everything is moved and the name servers are changed, then everything should be good permanently.

If anyone wants to know where we're going it's Host Gator. If you have any interest whatsoever in hosting, they provide some high quality hosting for cheap. That link will provide a referral for me if you decide to go with hosting, which will help us pay all the hosting bills.

You will also notice hostgator banners placed on the sites in some location, these are just to help offset hosting prices. On fbtk and fileanchor, it won't be too noticeable as the banners just took the place of the google ads (with the bottom google ads being left). On qbn there will be a small banner at the bottom.

If anyone has any questions during the downtime or next few days for me, you can get ahold of me at:
aim: mrsumojo
msn: sumojo@fbtk.net
yahoo: theatareeez

I should be on all of those, if I'm not, try emailing me.

Thanks for everyone's patience and hopefully we'll move through this easily.

No more dedicated server? Sad Not like the site ever needed anyway Tongue

Have you considered placing Google ads on the site? I don't know if it gets the traffic needed for any real revenue (I know qb45 don't), but it's worth a shot...

I'm not looking for much revenue (moreso on the fileanchor domain). Google ads barely make anything. I've had them on quickhost from the start.

Here's the ad that's going onto qbn: [Image: poweredby.gif]

Like I said hosting is moving to www.hostgator.com . This hosting was a lot more reliable than my previous host and had better speeds/equipment.

All sites moved but qbn. Still waiting to do that so don't be surprised if you see it go down.

I've got the domains and the files all set. FileAnchor will be down a bit longer as the files that were uploaded to it haven't been uploaded yet. Hopefully it'll be finished by tonight.

If you use the FileAnchor upload through a phpbb forum, you'll have to change the url to say "fileanchor.com" instead of "qh2.qbtk.com". Until you change this, you won't get a page.

Please update your links for fileanchor. FileAnchor is now: www.fileanchor.com . Qbtk domain will not remain around for long.

Enjoy posting again.

All files uploaded back to fileanchor. Also, the qh2.qbtk.com domain has been fix so things linked through that shouldn't be broken.

Thanks to everyone for their patience.

Glad that your sites and forum finally reappeared on my horizon. For two days I was not able to reach any of them. My area must have been the last to get replicated on the DNS servers.

I've been hearing of a lot of problems with this lately, but it wasn't because of the move. In fact, qbn hasn't moved yet.
