Do I need any DOS extenders to run FB DOS programs in pure MS DOS 6.22?

Yes, you'll need a DPMI provider, such as CWSDPMI ( http://clio.rice.edu/cwsdpmi/ ) - it's only 20k or so. Just make sure it is in your PATH somewhere or in the same directory as the executable you are trying to run.

Yes, on closer inspection, CWSDPMI.EXE (the only part of the package that you need to just run programs) is almost exactly 20KB - 20,125 bytes.
