Is it possible to make a better scripting program in Quick Basic?

I ask this because somebody said that ,"QB is old and there are better scripting programs.QB Has some limmitations!"
Do you think you can do something like making a better scripting program in Quick Basic?

Certainly. FreeBASIC ( http://freebasic.net ) was written in VBDOS (Last version of QBasic released) until it compiled itself. However, scripting engines take a good knowledge of parsing and tokenizing strings.
