You can't edit poll options here-- regardless, people will probably just reply and say what they have anyway, seeing as it'd tale a hell of a lot of options to list all the possibilities. :p (all the combinations of intruments some people might have, including whether or not they're electric/acoustic, etc)

some forums have checkboxes as an option as well as radio buttons...that would come in handy, I think.

Yeah it is..
There are many types of basses, you can have Bass(that looks like guitar) Bass for strings/orchestra, bass drum, bass clarinet, etc. It's so dang confusing :S

There's no instrument (to my knowlage) called a bass, but there are three referred to as a bass:
There is an Electric Bass Guitar (self explanatory)
An Acoustic Bass Guitar (ditto)
And a Double Bass or Upright Bass (Like a giant violin you play with the fat bit on the ground and the thin bit at your head)
All of these are referred to as basses because both have the same range (unless unusually tuned), and all work on the same principle, ie. vibrating fat strings.
Infact they are pretty much the same instrument except for the fact that a double bass has no frets. Anyone who can play the double bass can play any kind of bass guitar, and anyone who's played bass guitar long enough to know instinctivly where the frets are can play a double bass. I know because I can do it.
Sorry, I've been going to allot of up-tight forums lately and its making me a cun t.
I too am getting a new guitar soon, cause the electronics in my old one just DIED... The one week I have an empty house, drumkit, 180 watt amp and a FUCKING 4 TRACK.
Balls
