well, QB would require that you start the IDE like this:
qb /l dsockqb.qlb
DSock is only for QB. You may use Winsock directly with FreeBASIC, however (and since you would need a Windows computer to run DSock anyway, you might as well use FreeBASIC with Winsock)
In FreeBASIC, header files can directly refer to static libraries so the /l bit is not needed.
