The AAP Official Projects Squad has successfully revamped!!
#1
Now celebrating just over one (1) year of the AAP Official Projects Squad, it is now so newly improved and even hotter than ever before, including these following updates:
  • • The Frantic Journey pages have finally updated with the current progress of the game in FB!
    • A whopping 19 FB demos have been added to the FreeBasic GFX Demo Central for a massive total of at least 71 of them!!
    • The deadline of the FreeBASIC Ultimate Demo Compo has now been extended ‘till September 30, 2005!
    • One new FB program of mine and my own tutorial about implementing Windows icons to FreeBASIC programs have also been added!

Come and see this brand-new look to the AAP Official Projects Squad as it now *fully* supports FireFox and IE simultaneously. You will find it at http://dhost.hopto.org/aapproj/.

Be seeing you there for the festivities!!!

Looks really nice. You are definitely one of the better, if not the best, artists around this entire community.

Only critique I have would be that you are still disabling rightclick, which is rather so very annoying.
I was going to download the demo, but I was unable to rightclick and choose "Save target as..."
That is truly not cool.

I will wait for you to fix this serious bug on the site, before I try to download anything from it again.

Thank you for letting us know you're making progress.

See ya

Big Grin Nice... no.. Really, really nice,.. I love the fixxed backrounds... 8)

I noticed my Map Maker in the new downloads,.. just a note, if you got the one modified before July 4, 2005... do be sure to get the updated one... I couldn't download to see myself, whether its messing up on my end atm, or you file on your server is corrupt, dunno... you might want to check that too...

BTW, seriously awesome map on the screen shot... I hardly thought it was my editor at first glance... ...

To Z!re and MystikShadows:

Thank you both so very much for your truly honest, no-holds-barred opinions. Wink=b !

About my whole revamp entirely, it was quite a serious hell of an undertaking for me (if not so undoubtedly painstaking!), but really, it was truly well worth it, believe me!!! Big Grin Hey, it took me around a total of three (3) months time for me to just work on it and get that thing out into the wide open....... from all of the site structure data I needed to change for all of my sections, to adding a lot of CSS and giving proper support to FireFox to balance it out with IE.

Here was what happened on my recent uploading of the revamp: from yesterday, I found out that as I checked my site after upload, the new site pictures came out all messed up like BLECCCCH ( :barf: ! ), and I just had to upload them all again. Up to then, the FTP uploader of my choice has simply been FTP Surfer...... but as I re-uploaded the files using that thing, I ran into many real “dreadful-blue-screen”-based errors which caused me to restart the computer and restart and restart and.... well, you get the idea. Eventually, I really got tired of putting up with the nasty errors and switched to the new freeware FTP uploader that I downloaded last night called FileZilla. Cool !

So then, with the new FileZilla, I re-uploaded the whole entire revamp one more time just for this one purpose and one purpose only: to make sure the files are good! Big Grin And you know what: no errors, no blue screen, no bull, just *all* successful uploading to the max!!! d=:wtnod:=b !

(Come to think of it, I am gonna ditch away FTP Surfer and use FileZilla as an EXCELLENT replacement. Period. :king: )

And Z!re, I am gonna think of enabling right-clicking again on my next update, but only for the sake of enabling people to download my files that are available (especially in the downloads section there), and just that alone. Don’t you worry. Wink

And finally here, I go to you Rattrapmax6:

About your ASCII Scrolling Map Maker 2.0 that is newly featured in my site, I have just fully download, tested, and checked it there, and that download of your thing came out entirely A-OK! Big Grin=b ! So do rest assured here, as I take the careful thorough time to check the downloads to make sure they are alright and operating as smoothly like they *originally* intended to be in the first place. Hey, just my way of being a serious blessing to you and to the whole QB45/QB71/FB community....... regardless. (^-^)v

(And by the way, my man, your thing featured indeed was dated at July 4, 2005 as the latest date there so far. Cool )

MystikShadows, Z!re, and Rattrapmax6, it is such a pleasure having you three in this one, and thank you all so very richly on your comments concerning my new revamp. Later!!! ^_- !

WISHING YOU SOME GOOD EXCELLENCE TONIGHT,

Nice job on the update, Adigun!

However, I noticed that your server seems to be very slow. Have you ever considered switching your hosting to somebody's server around the Qmunity? A lot of people are willing to host QB / FB sites free of charge, including Plasma (Phat Code), Todd Seuss (Data Components), Nekrophidius (Digital Blackie), and probably Sumo Jo. Not a big deal, just a suggestion. Pretty soon I might also provide free hosting too, since I will be upgrading my hosting account so that I will have more server space and bandwidth than my current allotment.

To Pete:

You know, I might want to consider your hosting alternatives as backup for now just in case the server shuts out on me eventually. Smile ! Yes, I noticed that Phat Code has some pretty awesome stuff when it comes to hosting QB/FB sites, so I might want to look into that when the time comes.

For now, my site is suffering a downtime, but it will be back on again soon. I just know it. And you are right so far, Pete. My site has suffered some slow times as well. And yet, I find it a little odd to me tonight because usually, the site runs as *very* fast as ever in at least my area (especially on DSL/Cable) as far as I know.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the suggestions, Pete, and be seeing you now! Big Grin=b !

P.S. And *just* two minutes after I written this post, my site is already back on and just as fast as ever indeed! Wouldn’t you know it? Big Grin
