Programming RPG Game Attacks...
#1
Ok, not that I've started on an RPG or anything yet... but I was wondering, is it wiser to make special attacks scripted? Or code them right into QB?

Depends. Brainstorm how sophisticated you want them to be. Because your script will need to support whatever it is. Scripted is ultimately superior, but a simple SELECT CASE will give you more flexibility.

Just make a decision and then stick to it when you code the game.

Are you going to make an RPG? Maybe an RPG sequel to Cobra! Just kidding.

Yeah! A sequel for a non-finished game! That's original!

On a second thought, that's not original. I've already seen that concept.

On a third thought, that fact is plain scary. [Image: eek7.gif]
