Comp Building....

I think the 6600 GT is enough for me, I'm not one for Doom3 or big 3D RPG games.... If it will do it, fine, but all in all, I only probaly get car games,...

1 Thing I want this for is to program, I'm sick of the limits I have now.. No sound in FB, slow 3D stuff, low res (800x600)( I miss 1280x1024 Cry ), and what ever else that comes up.... Tongue .. oh yeah, and thats a CD burner too.. .. that be great...

This Videocard

And For the soundcard:
This Soundcard If you can afford $125 enough so that you can then use the $75 rebate and only pay $50 or else you could have

This one
which is an OEM, non platinum version for $70

And finally
This one

For A budget, $50 right now.

PCI E is and they are usually cheaper (at least low budget) but the motherboards are usually more expensive. And I wouldn't have put that sound card stuff, I thought you mentioned it, I guess that was Oz who did.

Not a bad system at all...be sure, however, that your power supply can work with your video card (that type of video card sucks in more power from the power supply than regular cards.

how many watts, volts and amps are on the power supply. if you don't check that, it will work then something's gonna give and no more light will even turn on :-(....just warning you in advance :-).

besure the power supply can throw atleast 24 amps out with that video card...anything less and it's very risky.

EDITED: Here's the specs to the Power Supply that comes with your case:

Code:
# Dual +12V:             No
Efficiency:              > 65%
Fans:                    2
Hold-up Time:            > 16ms at Full Load
Input Current:           10A @ 115V, 5A @ 230V
Input Frequency Range:   47 - 63Hz
Input Voltage:           115/230 V
Over Voltage Protection: +5V trip point < +6.8V +3.3V trip point < +4.5V +12V trip point <+15.6V
PFC:                     No
Power Good Signal:       100-500ms
# Model #:               TT-420AD(DUAL FAN)
# Item #:                N82E16817153006

10 Amps is not good enough....you can keep the case but get a better power supply (as long as it's ATX it should fit fine in your case).
hen they say it can't be done, THAT's when they call me ;-).
