To all of you:

Man, have I got GREAT NEWS to tell you or what? :king:

You do not even have to worry about Dr_Davenstein’s latest demo being lost through an account suspension, because it is now safe with me, since I have just uploaded it safely on my site in its entire, original form. Wink=b ! Please check out my news post that I have just written today right here and see for yourself.

Thank you all so very much, and check you out later. Big Grin

Thanks. It seems that fbtk is just down tempoarily. Wink

btw: Are you guys getting high frame rate fluxuations in that demo. I just noticed the screenshots on AAP's page, and the second one only shows 30fps, if I'm reading it correctly.

To Dr_Davenstein:

You are quite welcome. Wink

And actually, from the very night of 10-11-2005, I have tested the new version of your demo on my grandma’s laptop (with apparently at least 2ghz and Windows XP!! Cool ) that I was temporarily allowed on for the asking, and, I found out simply that while one character was on the screen, it ran at an amazing 60 FPS, but with multiple characters on the screen (like at least 3 or 4 of them), it crawled down to just 30 FPS. Sad That is what I witnessed before I was capturing the screenshots and eventually transferring them between that computer and the Pentium-III one with 450mhz and Windows ME that I regularly use.

Still, a *marvelous* improvement on the demo overall, I wish you and Zap such awesome success with making it into a full-fledged FB game, you understand that? Big Grin

See you again, Dr_Davenstein, and thank you so much tonight!!

WISHING YOU SUCH AN AWESOME WEEK HERE,

Meh... it tells me that it performed an illegal error and has to end.

Are you running a fairly new video card. If not, it's probably doing that because it doesn't check your card for memory, stencil buffer support... blah blah blah. I guess I should have uncommented the code that checks, but I didn't bother. I'll activate all that stuff next time though. Wink

My card is integrated junk, so maybe that's why. It's sis m760gx. 64 mb, but i recently changed some settings in the bios so now it uses 128.
