How many still use qb here?

I think so too, macric! I love programming using QB! If I'm going to tackle bigger projects I usually use VB but QB is still my favorite programming language. :bounce: I always enjoy the nostalgia of QB...

Yes it's true that occasionaly people tell newbies that FB is easier for what they are trying to accomplish. But nothing like PRINT =P
It's more stuff like loading bmps or internet programming.

i ONLY use Quickbasics, mostly QBX, i do not use FB because it has not an IDE for DOS like Quickbasics, few times i use the interpreter Qbasic I.IO
but i have downloaded FB (just in case), maybe someday somebody in tne next century will make an IDE for DOS for the FB with the HELP in-line just like in Quickbasics
that's VERY easy for them but they prefer own ideas, nobody can padlock another's individuals heads
the Dos IDE could be one of the 1st steps but the experts prefer to idolize the Windows environment
today i keep myself thinking that FB it's another of the dozens of Visual Basics but a little more friendly with the Quickbasics than the others
but i have MUCH patience, i will be waiting someday FB experts will not despise the Quickbasics
since experts began FB i have seen dissapeared Quickbasics programmers from the forums, most didn't emigrate to FB, just they felt tired of the answers of FB fans, like these
question: "How do i make a PRINT?"
answer: "Use FB or you would never could be a human being"
question: "How do i load a library?"
answer: "If you use FB you would never have a problem, that's smart"
...etcetera, etcetera...
then most programmers ran away

The FB experts are also QB experts, they have a right to diss QB if they feel like it. I dont like QB anymore, I used to. It's once again called progress..

Besides, any recent leave of people from the forum is most likely due to the death of it. (And later rebirth) Not FB..

Nor a compiler or language if you ask me, so there you go FBers you've just been 0wned. Anyways, i blelive what i asked was who still uses qb. Not who doesn't or bash anyone who does use qb. So no more FB related posts here period thx. It is afterall the "QB in General" forum.
