its just a programming channel. for C and C++ mostly, but anyone with any interest in programming or open source is welcome there. thats simply it. i didnt know he was going to go posting it, and especially messing it up like he has so now everyones confused.

May I ask,.. don't flame me,.. what the heck is a IRC, and where do you get one to get on these chanles? ..... I'm confused when some1 brings up #freebasic on IRC ... #qbasic, ect.....

its sorta like an IM program, but it uses a server and if you have one client, you can access any of the different servers and channels on a server. (correct me if I'm wrong).

There's an extension for firefox called chatzilla that will get you onto irc servers easily enough.
