update on my moped
#1
well, i've gona for about 55 miles or so, and i'm just over a half tank... its time for a oil change, and me and a friend are debating on wether i should get cheap walmart brand supertech oil, or castrol gtx.... i'm leaning toward the castrol, but he says its all the same... i just dont know...

the idiots who sold me the moped didnt mention that the motor wasnt broke in, and didnt say that i shouldnt womp on it, because its being broke in, so the 55 miles it has on it are hard miles, hard break in miles!!! that sux! but another person told me that break in period for hte motor is about 500 miles, and just to take it easy from now on and i should be ok... so i'm gonna take his advice, it sure would be a shame to seize up 1200.00 like that

Oil is oil, yep,. but different companies do have different chemical make-ups for different preformances.... Castrol GTX (along with Penziol, Lucas, ect) are made for harder runnings, stuff you might want in a sports car... So for a moped, either one should do fine, just depends how much you want to spend...

Make sure you get the right weight and amount you'll need too.. The owners manual is nice here, you can also find how to break in the motor by that also as you where wondering about above...

yeah, heh... my friend ran off w/ the owners manual, and i cant scoot to his house casue i'm @ 60miles, 10miles over my change date.... so i gotta wait for the car to get home, and chase him down..... i went to the scooter shop and asked them to change the oil for me, sinse i'm pretty lazy and all... .and sinse its on warrenty, i figured i'd get the most out of my warrenty by not paying for oil... but guess what they said.... change it yourself!!!! what shady ran under the table type of crap is that!!!! and i described a problem to him, and he suggested to me how i could fix it... ((me fix it = no no)+(warrenty = they fix it))

i'm capable, but i paid 1200 for the scooter when i couldhave got it online for 795.00 including liftgate shipping..

oh well, it goes 40 and gets 120mpg or more, and is shiny and green... so i cant be too upset

You are really lazy... lol,.. Changing oil is very easy... as long as you tighten every thing up right... ... Course, if its hard to get to the motor, then you might not be so lazy..

 And yeah, get the manual back! Its has every thing you need to know.. Smile
