It requires qb4.5 or above. I'll give you the directions for qb4.5

1) Start up qb4.5 and open your program.
2) Go to the Options menu and make sure "Full menus" is turned on
3. Save
4) Go to Run -> Make EXE file
5) Select "Stand-Alone EXE File"
6) Hit "Make EXE"

THat should do it =D

You should also note that many times you can just post the code on the internet and let others see your code, learn from it, make suggestions, and/or compile it if they want.

I downloaded the Qbasic 4.5 and i tried to open it but it won't open. This is the error message i receive any time i click on it. "invalid start up directory, please check your pif file. choose close to terminate program."

what do you reckon i do?

I don't even know what's going wrong with the files. It says "cannot find bc.exe and other invaluable files needed"...Is it possible for me to write the program, paste it on the net and you help me turn it into software or executable file that can be downloaded off net?

I just wanna see how it looks like...so i can be inspired to carry on.

p.s I can't even find the pif file either

Sure, go ahead and post the code either here on the forum if it's not to big, or you can upload it to www.fileanchor.com (for example)

I'm sure someone with QB could compile it for you =)

Yeah, like Z!re says, post it here and I'll compile it for you with QuickBasic 4.5.

yah i had the same prob. where it said it couldnt find these files and stuff when you try tomake the file .exe . it does this because its configured to have already been installed in drive c: so it looks for it there. when you download it you download files already extracted. what i do is put qb into drive c: and each time it prompts you just type "c:"

if that dont work i got more tricks up my sleeve. so just ask.
