So, how exactly is this gonna go away, I mean if the people are really as bad of fruits as we think and they don't let the forum go, how will it just disappear?

It was hacked, because those people have nothing else to do, except just hacking a forum (which is really cheap).

The forum wasn't hacked, all they did was use a security bug that was posted on the phpbb.com website. It did not take any brains at all, hackers usually have skill and brains ;-) And even if it required actual skill to do what they did, it would be called cracking ;-)

Aren't people who do things like that called script kiddies, not hackers?

BTW: My first post here!

Whatever they did, nowdays it takes no brains to hack
because if I know atleast half of what I think I know
then there is illegal (of course) programs on the web
that do the work...
...Not that I'M hacking of course (not even the lazyKidsStuff
I described above)

My dad works in the securities department of a major Canadian bank, and script kiddies are often more dangerous than real hackers, simply because there are potentially so many more of them. As soon as one hacker discovers a security hole and writes a proggie to take advantage of it, hundreds of thousands of n00bs (who have no concept of the consequences of their actions or how to cover their trail) are suddenly upon it.
