Lifelong Planning A* in QB help
#1
Do you have any source code for Lifelong Planning A* in QB, since I can't seem to get my code right. Please not in FB, I don't have FB, nor Internet(I get online at the library), nor a working floppy disk drive on which to put FB into my outdated Windows 3.1 clunker. Cry

Damnit, all that sucks now that I think about it!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for understanding Smile .

Oh, BTW, keep it(the code) simple. I have to print it out, and Mrs. Library Man gets angry at me when what I print out is too long.

A* is long in itself. No matter what current or past programming language you see it in, it will be long.

Well, in my A* tutorial, "A* Implementation in FB", I show you how to do it. However, it's for FreeBasic. The only part that is not QB compliant, is in the subs that say "Redim Preserve". There is no Preserve in QB. If you want, I can give you the code for QB.

Lifelong Planning A* is different than A* in a few minor ways; do not confuse A* and LPA*.

First time I heard of it, but it sounds interesting, and it's only 2 years old. Looks like you'll need to read "Koenig, Likhachev, and Furcy (2004)"...

EDIT: I have found 2 papers on it by them. One is 50 pages, the other 14. I saved them in PDF format. Would you like them?

Really It's in 7.1? Hmm, guess that's what I get for sticking with 4.5 or whatever. I'm sorry, but my tut doesn't have lifelong planning in it (Doh!). Time to write a "Lifelong Planning A* in FB" Smile

That might be difficult.
